Brenda Owen│Liaison to Outreach

I have always lived in Kentucky, grew up in a rural community and attended a small Disciples of Christ Christian church that my parents and their families had attended for many years.

After living in Ashland, Ky for 28 years, Bob and I  moved back to Lexington in 2013. Even though we attended the United Methodist Church in Ashland, we decided to visit Good Shepherd and are glad we did! We both love the people here and their willingness to answer any need of the parish and community.

I am a retired nurse and spent most of my working life in nursing education, specifically pediatric nursing. We have been married 55 years, have two married sons and four grandchildren (all beautiful and brilliant!). We are very family oriented whether about our own family or Good Shepherd.

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd

We are a community of pilgrims, seeking our home in the heart of our Creator. Everyone who wants to join us on this holy pilgrimage with Christ, or any portion of the journey, is welcome to receive nurture here.
