Mary Quinn Ramer│Senior Warden

How long have you been at Good Shepherd?

I’ve been at Good Shepherd since 2017.

What drew you to Good Shepherd?

I moved to the neighborhood in 2016—and proximity to home first drew me through the doors. I continued coming because I found the people to be kind and welcoming and the message to be on of hope, acceptance and love.

Why do you feel called to the Vestry?

I am very much looking forward to serving as a member of the Vestry. As a relative newcomer and a new Episcopalian, I am seeing so much of the Church’s work through “new eyes” and look forward to sharing that perspective on the Vestry. I am so touched by the outreach to the recovery community, the refugee community and the unhoused community. I see love in action and look forward to furthering the great mission of “Love is all” through service on the vestry.

How are you involved in the broader Lexington community?

I am a tourism professional, and as such, involved in a variety of tourism/community groups, including: Kentucky Horse Park Commission, Equestrian Events Intl., Sister Cities Commission, the Lexington Center, the Mary Todd Lincoln House and the Kentucky Travel Industry Association.
