Some imperfect habits and affections remain like stains hard to remove
The devil will play tricks on souls at this stage trying to make her believe in vain visions and false prophecies.
The soul must be careful not to give herself over too easily to spiritual phenoma
Also know that no one will ever be able to avoid all pitfalls, some things must be purified/removed by God.
To come to union the soul must fully enter the second night of spirit where both sense and spirit are stripped of all perceptions and flavors.
