Julie Broderson

Julie Broderson is a seminary graduate with more than 25 years in outreach leadership in the local church. She has also served in youth ministry, music, vacation bible school, and international mission team training and leadership. She was instrumental in founding Room in the Inn, a Lexington based ministry to those living on the streets and has served on boards and other roles with a variety of local ministries. She is currently the volunteer director of GMPI, a Kentucky nonprofit working in Uganda, as well as a part time adjunct professor at Asbury Theological Seminary. Before becoming a minister,, she worked for Lexington’s Broadway Live Series in theater administration and has performed in several local productions.  She has been married to musician and Creative Director Steve for 33 years, and they have two adult children. She enjoys travel, hiking, pickleball, swimming, the beach and is currently working on attaining a “Master Gardener” certification. She is excited to be joining the dedicated staff of the Church of the Good Shepherd, and looks forward to serving the community together with new friends in the parish.
